Akia Logan
Akia Logan has been drawn to hair since the age of 7. She has always had a natural talent of hair styling. In her younger years, all of her childhood friends and family members would call her to style their hair with no hesitation. Along with styling their hair, she would take on the task of styling her own hair as well. Being born with a FULL head of hair and a mother who was not necessarily hair savvy, Akia had to venture into figuring out her own hair on her own terms.
Fortunately for Akia, she also came from a family where her aunts on both sides of her family were hair stylists, so she believed it was passed down from the prior generation, it just skipped over her mother :)
She was talented enough to go through high school and college making money by styling hair on the side. While in college Akia tried to quit school and go back to NJ and do hair full-time, but her parents would not allow it. She was their first born so they wanted her to complete college and have a degree to fall back on. So she stayed the course at Hampton University and graduated with Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Management. After college she continued to pursue her hair career by relocating to Atlanta, GA where she currently resides and owns and operates K. Logan Hair Salon.
